John A Miller has practiced law for 34 years. His early years of practice encompassed high stakes criminal defense, family law litigation and real estate and business transactions.  He now focuses his practice on complex litigation, including high conflict / large asset family law matters, real estate and business disputes, and more complex litigation. He serves as a private mediator and arbitrator.

A native being born in Tacoma, Washington, Mr. Miller is very involved in his community. He presently serves as municipal court judge for the City of Fircrest. While he is involved with several different charities, his primarily satisfaction has come from those that focus on our youth and medical advancement/research.

Mr. Miller graduated from Gonzaga University, and later obtained his juris doctorate from Gonzaga School of Law.  He has been involved in many legal organizations and associations and received numerous awards for his outstanding service. He is a past President of Tacoma Pierce County Family Law Section, a Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association trustee, past President of the Tacoma Pierce County Bar Association, a member of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, the Washington Inns of Court and serves on the Pierce County Judicial Evaluation Committee.

Mr. Miller continues to enjoy the law, its many challenges, and the demonstration of ethical leadership in his profession.
